7 Nobel PRIZES FOR litErature
It is said that these days we are reading less and less. As children however we access the world first and foremost through books; Jules Verne, Rudyard Kipling, Joseph Conrad, the Countess of Segur, Cervantes...........
Reading is a passion of mine that I would like to share with you for one evening once every month. The idea of honouring a writer whose work has been awarded the Nobel Prize seems natural, for they are those who, according to Alfred Nobel, have " produced, in the world of literature, the most remarkable work, of an idealistic nature."
This year, 7 writers have been chosen, for 7 evenings during which a work will be read by an actor or actress, in an abridged form but with respect for the narrative as a whole. This reading will be preceded by a Biography about the author (some of whom may do us the honour of being present) by a person of note, whose speech will be accompanied by archive footage and images.
